CBSE CISCE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 Latest News: Amidst the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, the demands for the cancellation of Class 12 Board Exam 2021 are growing louder. Notably, the CBSE, CISCE and various state boards have cancelled Class 10 Board Exam 2021 and postponed Class 12 Board Exam 2021. Now, a large section of the students has taken on social media and have raised their concern regarding conducting the Class 12 Board Exam 2021 in this pandemic situation.
#Saveboardstudents trends on Twitter: A large section of Class 12 Board Exam 2021 students has taken on Twitter to demand the cancellation of the board exams. To voice their demands, many students tweeted requesting Class 12 Boards and Union Cabinet Minister for Education Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank for the cancellation of 12th Board exam 2021. Many of them have also suggested to evaluate them in a similar assessment criteria like the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 students.
Incidentally, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had cancelled the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 and postponed the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021, last month. Soon after CBSE, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) took a similar decision. After that, various state boards also have either cancelled or postponed the class 10 and 12 Board Exams 2021.

Online petition against Class 12 Board Exam 2021
Due to the rise in the number of coronavirus cases all over the country, students have also filed a petition on Change.org, asking the government to cancel the board exams. The petition has also crossed 72,000 signatures by May 10, 2021. The petitioner said, “The problem is of covid cases. As the cases are increasing day by day how education system can conduct board exams that are too risky in light to once life. Will education system take responsibility of students who will be tested positive.” The petitioner further added, “I urge the education ministry to look into this matter and some serious action needs to be taken on this.”
What is next?
Now, the CBSE has recently announced the assessment criteria for CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 students. The board had also notified that a decision on the revised dates for CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 will be taken after a thorough review of the situation on June 1, 2021.
On the other hand, the CISCE had notified that an assessment criteria will be announced for the ICSE Class 10Board Exam 2021. Also, a decision on the ISC Class 12 Board Exam 2021 will be taken by the first week of June. Several state boards have also postponed the Class 12 Board Exam 2021 because of the pandemic situation in the country.
Since class 12th Board exam is too significant for the student, to get admission for various professional courses like medical, engineering and management, assessment on internal evaluation maybe difficult for the institutions.
