As per latest reorts Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ will announce the CBSE 10th & 12th Board Exam 2021 date on December 31, 2020 at 6 PM.

Amid COVID-19 pandemic, this is a welcome development for lakhs of students who are eagerly waiting for CBSE Board Exam 2021 date Sheet. It is expected that after the announcement of dates by Union Minister Pokhriyal the students would be able to plan their studies in a more effective way. Pokhriyal tweeted “I will announce the date when the exams will commence for students appearing for CBSE board exams in 2021 on 6 pm on December 31″.

announced that CBSE Board Exam 2021 would not be conducted till February 2021. He more announced that the situation would be assessed and the dates for CBSE Board Exams would be announced.

In the webinar conducted by the Minister for teachers on December 22, he informed that the CBSE Board exams would be conducted after February in offline mode. He said, ““The practical exams are usually held between January 1 and 15 while the optional exams are conducted between February 15 and mid-March. However, taking into account the present situation, it is impossible to conduct the exams till the end of February. We will make a final decision on the exam dates as to when will the exams can be held after February.”

Every year CBSE conducts the Board examination in February and March and releases the exam date sheet for both Class 10 and Class 12 in November. However, this year due to the pandemic, the CBSE Board Exams 2021 has been postponed.

During his online interaction with students few weeks ago, Pokhriyal had dropped hints that the CBSE Board Exams will not be canceled. The minister, however, assured the students that they will get enough time to prepare for the CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exams. Pokhriyal had also suggested the students to prepare for the exams.

Earlier, the CBSE had reduced 30% topics from the syllabus and the revised CBSE Syllabus 2020-21 was released by the CBSE in July. Students are being advised by CBSE to thoroughly check the revised CBSE Syllabus 2020-21. Considering the loss of classroom teaching time due to the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown, CBSE reduced the syllabus of classes 9 to 12 with the help of suggestions from NCERT.
