The Central Board of Secondary Educations is likely to conduct the remaining class 10 and 12 board examinations by the end of April 2020. According to the official sources, the CBSE board examinations along with the other state board examinations which were postponed due to the COVID-19 spread in the country is likely to be completed by May 2020. It is expected that the results of the CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board examinations along with state boards like  Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu may be announced by June 2020. 

On Monday, a senior HRD ministry official shared with TOI sources that the Board exams of CBSE and NIOS are likely between end of April and mid-May. The official further quoted that, “A decision on this will be taken by the respective Boards after assessing the situation after April 14. The results will also be delayed as the evaluation process too will start post the lockdown and results are expected in the month of June. But all this will depend if the examinations can be resumed after April 14.”

In the interim, National Testing Agency or NTA has already extended the last date for the on-going applications for various entrance examinations which include ICAR Exam, JNU Entrance Examination. This also includes UGC NET 2020 and CSIR NET 2020 June Examinations.

NTA has already postponed JEE Main 2020 and NEET 2020 examinations scheduled for April and May respectively. The new dates for the examination would be shared by NTA after the situation is re-assessed at the end of the lockdown period, which is April 14, 2020.

It is again reiterated that CBSE has not yet released the revised schedule. The board was earlier expected to release the revised schedule of the postponed examinations today – March 31, 2020. There is, however, report that the board would not be announcing the dates as yet.

For CBSE, a total of 38 papers had to be postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak for Class 12 and only two papers for Class 10. However, apart from these papers, the papers for North East Delhi students, including English paper for both classes 10 and 12 and also Physics papers and a few others were rescheduled due to riots in the earlier part of the year.
